Hi All,
I recently purchased some flush mount LED indicators for the front of the GSXF, I have installed them to find that they now flash fast. Researched to find that there is a load balancing resistor available from MCAS for $5.95 so i went to get it, installed it and still same shit. Flashing fast. When first turned on indicators they flash normal for a second or 2 then back to fast. Anyone else experienced this problem? Cheers.

According to the owners manual, page 3-8: If a turn signal is not operating properly due to bulb filament or circuit failure, the indicator light flickers more quickly to notify the rider of the existence of failure. I would check the bulbs ya replaced and see if they are bulbs that meet the specs for the bike, if so, then I would check the circuit.

Good luck,

John

P.S. It "IS" Friday the 13th by the way

"GUESS "

That if you changes the front and not the rear ,its a bit confused and its not sure what is going on ,change the rear also and I bet it will change.

Like Eagalicious said ,the blinkers flash faster {or I know the dash does} if a indicator globe is out or not connected properly ...so if the indicator is working and flashing .....but just to fast ,I guess its confused.

The extra LOAD resistor has to be placed PARALLEL to the indicator.
Not in SERIES

So the positive lead goes to the resistor and to + of LED indicator
and the ground lead has to go to the other side of the resisror and the - of the LED indicator.

Now it should be flashing normal again.

Other way to get your normal flashing rithem bach is to place a special relay.
Look for it on ebay

I have wired the load balancing resistors in parralell not series as if you wire them in series you loose brightness. I wired them in correctly, what i will try is to get a 2nd set of resistors and wire them in also so it doubles the load. If this doesnt fix it i will replace the rear indicators too and just change the flasher unit for a led friendly one. I will let you know how i go. Thanks for all the help.
