You could try Peter Stevens on Elizabeth Street (city). They don't stock them but may be able to get them in. It's usually cheaper to buy from the states though. You just need to know your size.

thanks for the shout out long story, but no it wasn't me you passed. have just moved back to melbourne and i'm waiting on the good folks in the government to issue an import cert to get my bike over from NZ. hopefully you'll be passing me in the next few months...
will try the bike shops, but its a favour for a friend back in NZ, so i will point him in the direction of teh interwebs
