I went to the dealership, to help me with my research. I was thinking either the GSX or the SV650...had no intention of buying a new bike yet, but couldn't resist the price or the bike. I get my new baby on Saturday!!!

Being 5 foot 3 - I'm going to have to lower her a bit..so my question is this, how much can I lower it and still have a functional center stand?

Is it Saturday yet???? :D

Bad news on my end. I am 5'1" and had my new gsx lowered 2 inches. Although I can flat foot no problem and the handling is great, when I spent an hour getting my new center stand on, found out I could not get the bike on the stand at all! Spent another hour getting the stand off (those springs are a bear to put on and take off!!). I am not sure if you only lower the bike 1 inch if the stand will work, good luck.

my wifes bike is lower 1 inch an i can still put it on the stand myself by putting my foot on the stand and turning the bars all the way to the left and grab the grab bar and it will go right up.

now as for you bpetralis you could still put it on the stand with help that way you can do service to the bike easier. i would give it a try with someone pulling from behind the bike to help you
