Post subject: mescol's Amazing Aussie Adventure has Begun

Met up with mescol and Sleddog at Circular Quay yesterday and we took the ferry across Sydney Harbour to Manly. Certainly was another great day in Oz - light cloud cover and cool.
The Aussie Navy even turned out to salute mescol as we went across the harbour. Heaps of people in Manly and mescol found a Brazilian restaurant and a fellow countryman working in a surf shop. We had a great burger and beer at a pub on the wharf with views down the harbour - ferries coming and going, yachts sailing and stink boats going in all directions.
Took the ferry back to Sydney after lunch, walked around the quay and ended up in a 100 year old pub in The Rocks, with mescol trying a variety of Aussie beers.

sounds like its going to be a trip to remember and its already on to a good start! Australia is definately a top destination on my list of places to travel. or maybe a full time move in my later years!

he's started the trip with a huge smile which is great. just wondering where he is guna put the rest of his smile as it grows bigger and bigger the more time he spends here and the more he sees

No worries mate ,was great to meet you and show you around . Was a good day for a trip around the harbour on saterday with you guys and enjoyed our lunch and beers and the view of the local ladys.
Mescol and I played Two up in The rocks on Anzac day and he won ,I lost as normal ..and had a few more beers . Meet up again today and had lunch on the wharf at the fish markets in the sun ,had a great weekend . Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip ,looking forward to seeing some pictures and ride report
