ok so scarlet (my baby) has 21000 miles on her and i just put new tires on her. since the stealership my buddy works at couldnt get a hold of any michellin pilot power 2ct's he convinced me to get michellin's new pilot power PURE tires. These tires are a softer compound than the 2ct's but still have the two compound technology. BUT! these tires have less tread even though it doesnt look like it, two pounds lighter than any competitive tire (less unsprung weight is always a plus), apparently they are good in wet conditions, and they are also recomended for big heavy bikes and not just the light quick purebred crotch rockets. I have put about 200 miles on the tires since i got them 2 days ago and i already broke them in. Within the first 5 miles i lowered the tire pressure to 39 in the front and 38 in the rear. This tire pressure gave me the most responsiveness with the tire and let me grip the road a little better. I put 18 miles on the tires and i didn't even realize i was leaning pretty hard hahaha  . My new tires were about an eigth of an inch from the edge of the tire to the chicken strip was amazing.... the tire warms up EXTREMELY fast without the need to warm them up prior to riding. Within the first 50 miles of having these new tires on i was able to push it that far to the edge of the tire and not even realize how low i was getting. these tires were near perfect. I am trying to keep a fair mind and see if there is any flaws with the tires to go along with the perfections. Mileage will be the first thing i notice. I will post back when i finish some decent rides! cheers guys!

Pancake,

Sorry about my ignorance, but which size of tire? 160mm? 180mm?
