To anyone else with the same question (replied to bigbutt via pm).

I had the suzuki dealer do all the mechanical work when I bought the bike and used the painter that they often use for custom orders and resprays. Suzuki organised everything for me. Doing it this way did not void anything under warranty from pulling the wheels apart myself. Suzuki Australia also have a record of the bike being modified by "the Authorised Suzuki Dealer" prior to delivery. As far as anyone is concerned this bike came with white rims under a "special order" and it is all covered under warranty.
