I'm wondering which mods I can do to my bike without voiding the warranty. In particular, which of the folllowing mods (below) might void the warranty?

* Speedo-Healer
* X-TRE
* New pipe
* After-market Horn
* Brake Light Modulator
* Low Beam Modulator
* Low Beam HID
* Windscreen
* Security Alarm

I know that some of these certainly should not be a warranty factor, but I thought I'd check, just in case it may be a problem.

- Speedo Healer is plug and play and only modifies the signal to your Speedo, no issua
- X-TRE requires splicing/soldering wires to/from the ECU, issue
- New pipe, shouldn't be an issue. Just keep your old pipe in storage if something happens to your bike so you can alway return with the standard pipe. In combination with a aftermarket air filter your engine could be running lean, but with only an aftermarket exhaust you shouldn't have any problems.
- After-market Horn, no issue
- Brake light/Low Beam Modulator and HID, no issue onless you fry up the wires. If your exhaust ruptures it has nothing to do with a Brake Light Modulator :)
- Windscreen, no issue
- Security Alarm, depends. Wether or not its a requires splicing into ECU wires or a simple alarm thats only hooked onto the battery and triggers alarm by movement.

In laymans terms. As long as your mod doesn't contribute towards the fault it is ok. eg you put an after market exhaust on and your front wheel breaks in half, no problem

But if you're riding a GSXR750 and your bike's frame breaks in half due to stress fractures at the horn mounting hole, no warrantee because you "abused" the bike.

Don't put HID in the low beam and then put on a low beam modulator as the HID takes a little bit of time to flash up.
By the time the modulator has turned on then off, the HID may not have flashed up and hence the light may not turn on at all.
The modulator could also do a bit of damage to the globe or ballast causing a short life.

Thanks for the posts everyone -- good points. I've since added the Speedo-Healer and a Givi windscreen and will soon install a security alarm (just the movement type). I think I'll hold off on the X-TRE and a new pipe until next spring. I may still add an after-market horn and brake light modulator in a month or two. I'm still undecided about going the HID route (low beam only) or using a standard bulb and a low beam modulator. Thanks again...
