To O.P.
Important to run the engine at different RPM ranges, don't cruise at any one speed for a long time, accelerate for a while, back off to let it coast down- I have broken in 2 MC and my Saturn this way- especially the Saturn which is a notorious oil burner (mine doesn't burn any). I think it has to do with seating the rings.

Plus I change the oil when I get the new vehicle home, then after 500 miles, then 3,000 from then on.

I have heard from many people, don't worry too much about the RPM limits, it won't hurt the engine to rev past the manufacturer's limits while breaking in.

Gerry, is it an '08 or an '09 bike you just bought? You said you had it for £4800, if its an '09 list price it £700 more than that so just curious if its this years or last years model. I too am looking to buy and am interested to know how much people are getting off list price of '09 models

Hi Ralphy... yeah it is a good deal, but that is list price. Was wondering really if anyone has paid well under list price this year on the same 0% finance deal?

I have not found the seat to be a downside as others have posted, but it is a heavy bike. It can be tricky to move around at low speeds like parking, etc.
On the plus side I love the flat torque curve, corners well for a big bike, and is difficult to put away!
