chucked it down the road yesterday .. cage driver turned across me then stopped in my path .. grabbed a handful to avoid hitting him and down it went on a greasy road surface ..
quick trip in ambulance to hosp and home now much battered ..
wasnt allowed to move about much but a cursory inspection showed that the crash bungs had done their job .. broken RH mirror .. RH indicator .. bent rear brake pedal and badly scoured but not broken RH pannier .. looked OK considering .. when it was put back upright it rolled and steered OK as it was moved out of the middle of the road ..

OK, I have to ask. What's a "cager"?... Not a term used stateside and I'm am always wanting to learn new terms.
"Cage" = car (i.e. a metal cage that doesnt allow the feeling of freedom that a bike allegedly gives) "Cager" = someone who drives a car
It came about from the era when motorcyclists depended solely on their bikes for transport, so they could apply derogatory labels to people who drove cars. Nowadays most motorcyclists also own and drive cars, so I guess it is kinda hypocritical.
Oh yeah, I'm glad the accident wasn't serious
