I was adding oil to my bike and the bottle slipped and added more than I wanted. I wound up putting it a little over the F mark. Should I worry about that harming me lil engine? The manual says to fill it up to the F mark and make sure to not under fiill but says nothing about over filling. I tried searching on this site and get everything but what I am looking for. Any advice would be appreciated.
Take care and ride safe,
John

Usually, the problem with overfilling comes from excessive oil pressure that can blow out some seals. I don't know if you have enough to make that happen or not, but it's generally better to stay on the safe side. If you need to just remove a bit, you can just loosen the oil drain till it starts to come out and let it slowly drip till you are where you want to be instead of getting a vacuum. It's a bit cheaper anyway. Good luck.
Supposably too much oil causes foaming in the crankcase and is bad. But I have filled it some over F mark many times and there is nothing that happened. Who knows...

Snag the turkey baster (sp?), the one with the bulb on the tube, from the wife's kitchen, and remove a little. Quick, cheap, and now you'll have one for the garage. If you don't have one the local wally world, or equivalent, sells 'em for about a $buck.

if it's a smidge overfull (ie you can still see an air gap in the oil window - leave it. the effort isn't really worth it if you can't see an air gap in the oil window, drain/remove oil to the full line
overfull engines can cause probs with over pressurizing the crankcase and blowing seals or perhaps causing the crank to dip into the oil as it spins robbing power from the engine and in worst case (I have seen this happen) causing a crank shaft to snap
