These panniers were a freebie from a member of another forum - he bought them for his Hyosung, never fitted them, and they don't fit on his new Daytona...
According to the packaging I MAY be missing 2 adjusting straps; I think I'll track down another pair regardless, to eliminate the only bungy-strap I've used...

What I got:

Step one - Seat off and connect the middle velcro strap; I lined it up across the cable-tidy tray:

Step two - Seat back on and connect the remaining two velcro straps across the top:

Step three - Loop the 2 adjustable straps around the pillion pegs and tighten:

Step four - Here I've used one of the bungy straps at the back of the bags, then looped it under the flasher stems and over the reflector/plate light. There's no real tension on the cord and I'm not 100% happy with it, hence wanting another pair of adjustable straps...:

Ready to roll!

A couple of laps around the block and I can't see, hear or feel them under reasonably heavy braking and acceleration, so I'm actually quite pleased how they've worked out. I will also fit a Ventura rack shortly, which will give me some more options for securing them...
The other good thing is the massive clearance above the exhaust - no concerns at all about getting too hot...
HOWEVER! The front of the bags actually sit right over the pillion pegs, so this wouldn't be a comfortable experience for a passenger unfortunately - if you're touring they probably wouldn't be large enough for 2 anyways (especially if your pillion is a woman!), so I suspect the hard luggage range would be more suitable.

You should try mounting them farther back. get that front velcro strap fully up on the pillion.

Yeah I looked at that, but any farther back and they start to foul the flashers.
But I do think I can do a better job with another pair of adjustable straps instead of bungy at the rear...

No worries matey...
I'll leave them on for the next few days, and let you know if I change anything.

If you want the rear bungee's tighter what I do is run one of them from the pannier, above the indicator, around the rear reflector & back to the pannier. Repeat for the other side. At first you will think the reflector will snap to one side but with a bungee each side the force is equal. Won't move from there once this is done. You'll also find if you tighten the velcro straps a bit more to raise the panniers they can come back & sit above/on the indicators. Original indicators have the flexible stalks so it doesn't do anything to them.

Thanks Al, I'll try raising them tomorrow.
