Hi,
Am considering a rear paddock stand for the gsx. I have the centre stand but nearly broke my back trying to use it due to bike being lowered and having a full tank of fuel
Has anyone any experience with a rear paddock stand and if they are easier to use or do you still need 2 people? I was thinking about this one: http://www.forthgear.co.uk/product/Alum ... Stand_3319 But what do I need to look for, would this one fit with the forks on the stand or does it need to be flat to support the bike? Do I need anything else fitted to the bike to use it?
Any advice appreciated? Cheers. D

Rear paddock stand a must. Easier to clean and maintain chain. Use to move my gsxf back and forth to clean the chain, and did that get old real fast. I picked up a Bike LIft rear paddock stand from the local suzuki dealer here in Hawaii. This was the least expensive one available, but built very sturdy.
Works like a charm and easy with one person. I just place a piece of 2x4 under the kick stand to level off the bike a bit and hold on to the rear bracket on the back seat while I lower the paddock stand to the ground. Reverse the procedure to put the rear tire back on the ground. Could not be happier and saves a lot of time.
Pit Bull stands seem to be a popular choice, but popularity has a price

Sorry suzukistuff, forgot to mention that I did buy rear spools that go with the rear stand #17 that I bought. I personnaly felt this to be a little sturdier and safer than using a stand that just slipped under the rear swingarms. Also, the web site has a video showing how to use the two different models.

I have a rear stand it really is worth while but I have never used it on my own I prefer to have someone hold the bike while I lift it. Putting it down is no problem just block the stand with one foot and push the bike forward and it’s done.

If you ahve a rear stand and want to be able to put it up on the stand by yourself in the shed/garage, getting one of these makes it piss easy. I know a few blokes that have and swear by the method as it can not fall while you're putting the bike on the rear stand. Only thing it you can't really take it out while the bike it up
I recon if you are after the whole shebang for fixing/servicing at home front (does both head and fork lift) rear and trailermate would be the bees knees
While the stuff I've linked to is good stuff a good prices in Oz, It probably isn't for you guys OS.
I've shown this stuff as examples not because I am affiliated to the company but because it had everything in the one place.

I've not obtained a rear stand, yet. But am looking for one! Send me PM if ya wanna sell one cheap!
Anyways, I see that some stands support just the swingarms while others support the swingarm spools. Any thoughts on advantages/disadvantages/experience of each type?
Thanks!
