Finally convinced the missus on a ride from Newie down to Wisemans Ferry and back home up the Old Pacific Hwy (I know everyone else has been there done that! but I haven't for 20 odd years since being away from riding). She'd only been on the back 3 times before that for only short stints. Started off a beautiful morning but was chased all the way home by THAT storm. Got 372klms out of the tank this week, 17.7ltr fill up today... happy with the mileage two-up...

I enjoy the wisemans ride I used to do it once or twice a month.
There is a ride called the 3 ferrys ride ,you have to do all the ferrys.

Hi Grey and sled. Was down at wise mans the Sunday before. From Windsor across the berowra waters ferry up the old road back through wise mans.across the ferry. I could also go across the Webbs Creek ferry to come home through lower Portland. That would make 3 ferries but only did two.what's the three ferries ride sled? I head up the old road ai bit on weekends usually early morning to miss the traffic so give me a yell if you are ever going to be around pie in the sky mid morning for a coffee.

Bought my son a helmet and jacket yesterday and took him on a quick ride back to his mum's for the first pillion ride on this bike.
Can't say I was impressed frankly, although it's been many years since I've carried a bitch (18 actually - it was his mum and she was pregnant with him...), although I didn't put any more pressure in the rear and suffered accordingly. (@Sleddog: hence the compressor...)

It was also his first ever time on a bike of any kind (!), and I have to say he did really well - wasn't frightened at all, marvelled at all the new sensations, even gripped my hips with his knees without being told! Got off at his mum's house talking about getting his own bike and his new understanding of the term "cage" :D

Good times...

Nice to hear NK. I put 42 in rear & 38 in front. Also adjust rear shock preload to 7. Handles ok. Do notice increased stopping distance though.
