hey everyone
joined the forum today but have had my bike for a few weeks now. this is my first ever motorcycle and in all truth i got it due to gas concerns. im driving 60-70mi a day and in 5.4liter v8 its costing me much more than a brand new bike and gas. but i am loving the bike. dropped it a couple times as im still learning but its not in bad shape. going to do some mods and enjoy it like the rest of you. happy riding :)

Hello and welcome to the forum and riding.

You think your going to save money by buying a bike {I DID ALSO} your in for a rude shock.
You'll want to add mods to the bike ,next time your passing a bike shop ,the bike automaticly rides into the bike shop, so it can catch to its brothers and sisters in the parking lot , no matter how hard you pull on the handle bars you can't stop it . Then since your there any ways you will buy some thing even if you don't need it.

True. :P

Thanks,
great site, just found it today. bought mine in March, grew up on standards, rode police cruisers, now finally enjoying a good sport/touring bike. should have got one a long time ago. not as bad on back or back side as i thought.
looking forward to talking with other owners.

I just joined the club. I put a deposit on a new GSX650F at Suzuki City in Biloxi MS. I will pick it up Saturday. I have already ordered bar risers, a Stebel horn, Givi Top Case and PLX side cases. I have owned quite a few bikes in the past from Honda dual sports to a Burgman 650 to a ZR-7 Kawasaki to my VStrom 650. I am moving away from the V-Strom because of the tiresome and incorrectable buffeting. I rarely ventured offroad with it and when I did, I found it sorely lacking. Otherwise it was a great bike. I look for more good things out of the 650F. From all that I've read, it will make a fantastic sport touring bike.

I bought my bike on May 26th, I have over 1k miles on it. Love the bike. I have not rode a bike in 15 years, did a lot of research and it payed off. I love the bike.

OK -- I'll register even though I've been here a while.

I have the black n grey version. No mods, just ridding the @#$%^ out of it! Love this machine.

I'm a RETREAD -- I owned years ago, but have been riding friends machines where ever I happened to live at the time (Norway, France, UK, Australia). My kids were bugging me for a car, so I got mad and went and bought a bike and gave them the keys to my 8 year old mazda -- now we're all happy :D

Picked it up on 5/20, so tomorrow is our 1 month birtday. Hit 1337 miles on my fill up yesterday.

Happy biking and remember -- the big black round thingy's stay on the pavement

Hi all, I'll register and say hello now even though I don't pick up my bike till Tuesday.

I've been riding for over a year now on my CBR125R which I have now part exchanged for something bigger in the form of the 650F. I'll be using it mostly for commuting but also for a fair few back road evenng blasts and probably some touring at some stage in the near future.

the site looks great so far, it's the only one I've found that seems to be interested in the bike itself rather than the facts suzuki spout out about it, so I look forward to a shared learning experiance.

I just picked up a Blue & White (You know, the faster one  ) GSX650F.
I've been riding for a while:

Yamaha TT350 -> Suzuki GS650GL -> Suzuki Katana -> Suzuki DR350 -> Honda CBR600F4i -> Suzuki Bergman 650 -> Vespa LX150 -> We are Here.

What a great bike! Comfy and fast, with great manners in the curves. Hopefully, I can bring some of the knowledge I've collected to the group.

Sid

Hello Sid, welcome to the forum. I also have the Blue and White one. And I'm seeing that you also have an Apple. What kind of Apple do you have?
MacBook Pro 2.6GHz. Awesome Computer and an awesome motorcycle.

Always nice to have a new member -- someone else to debate the speed of the colors with!!!

Cheers!

Welcome Sid. I had a Burgman too. I'd love to have another, but there's only so much room in the garage, so for now that room is occupied by the F.
