I guess I should chime in here.. black for me in NJ.. I was looking at the blue one, but something with the white didn't work for me.. I will be painting mine over the winter if all goes as planned though
got it at the beginning of June and have 650 miles on it so far.
I got myself a black one just two days ago here in Kentucky, put 119 miles on it in the first two days. Going to take it out this morning for some more riding and to do my first fill up. I'm new to bikes but I started out with this one because I need it to last 4 or 5 years without getting tired of it, and this one seems plenty fast to never get tired of, I love it.

Hello to all you BLUE GSX650F owners (oh yeah, an you BLACK GSX650F owners also,,, try and keep up, will ya? )
I bought mine a little over month ago and already have about 1400 miles on it. As a first time street rider, I wanted a sportbike for commuting about 100 miles (160km) a day round trip. I went to a dealer and told the guy I wanted a comfortable sportbike. All he wanted to sell me was a '07 Honda CBR1000. With $3000 off the MSRP, I was tempted, but decided to check out another dealer. When I told this other guy about the CBR at the other place, he asked what I was going to use the bike for. After I told him it was for commuting 100 miles a day, he told me that I honestly would not enjoy commuting on a CBR. He had me sit on it and had me notice the weight on my wrists, then told me to hold up my head and mentioned I would have to do that for 50 miles each way with a helmet on. He said, "By the time you get to where you're going, your wrists will hurt, your shoulders will hurt, your neck will hurt, and you probably won't enjoy it." So I asked him if he had any recommendations in sportbikes. He said, "Absolutely" and showed me about 5 other bikes, including the GSX650F. After much contemplating, I decided on the GSX650F.
I have been riding dirt bikes for years, but this is my first street bike. I have to tell you, after all the things I have read about the GSX650F from both GSX650F owners and professional reveiews, it makes me kind of apprehensive to buy anything else. I have read so many positive things about this bike!!! It makes me feel great knowing that I made the right choice! I ride my GSX650F whenever and whereever I can. I am eventually going to change out that GIGANTIC tail pipe, but other than that, I love this bike!
I look forward to sharing info here with everyone, as I've already learned quite a bit....

Welcome aboard Jerry. Looks like a salesman lead you in the right direction AND THE RIGHT color. Dirt is the best way to learn how to ride a bike. I'm sure you will be bringing that front wheel up real soon, if you haven't already. Just expect every car to pull out in front of you when you are on the street.

Hi Jerry and welcome.
I can't believe some motorcycle salesman ,trying to sell you a CBR1000 ,dirt riding experience or not ,its like selling a chain saw to a 6 year old ,9 time out of 10 ,blood would be spilt. .
As you know the GSX is a great bike, heaps of fun to be had on our beast.

Hi Jerry -- welcome!
Blue isn't bad, I'm sure it's fast and all 'cause I see them in the rear-view mirror everyonce in a while!
Seriously, you'll love it. I use mine mostly for the same thing -- commuting -- however I find myself sneaking out for any and every reason I can think up.
Cheers, DJ

Hi everyone, I have been reading this forum for a while and was glad to find it as I was considering to by a GSX650F as well.
I had ordered my bike two months ago - I had to wait for it this long because I wanted the faster an meaner looking type (the black one!); but finally it arrived to the dealer and hopefully I can take it home next week. I hope you do not mind me joining to the group! I am from Hungary - a bit far away from most of you guys; and previously rode an RF400R for a while.
318 curves in 11 Miles and then the Cherohala Skyway. long sweepers and 50 miles long.
The only complaint I had is my ass (man it's tired) but I'll be changing out the seat or modifying it soon. The bike ran great.....(Of course it's Blue why wouldn't it) and I got lots of looks from the riders up and down the line. Even the Honda riders that went said it really stood out.
Half way up the line we all switched off and while their bikes were nice, I still think mine was better over all.
Fast and forgiving on the sweepers and it held it's own with the power house bikes on the turns. In fact I was able to out brake and carve up the larger faster bikes on the tight stuff, but when they could stretch their legs we had a little problem.
The bike makes an excellent touring machine and when it's times to hit the turns, off load the bag full of clothes and get it.
You can't ask for a better bike for the money.
