Welcome Larry!

Sometime I will make it out there, I JUST heard about that place this weekend. One of my buddies mentioned it to me and then my curiosity took over and I found those links. :P

I'm jealous!! That looks like so much fun. One day I'll ride the tail! :cry:

Its worth the trip. The biggest problem on The Dragon is the LEO's (Law Enforcement Officers) the Tenn. cops have seen one to may cop shows. They will pop you for crossing the yellow line, speeding (As little as 2 miles over) the speed limit is 30. Another problem is the view, it's beautiful, HOWEVER you really need to pay attention to the road.

On the skyway it's less traveled and the view is even better, Less traffic and less cops. But again keep your wits about you. Also check out ASHEVILLE NC when you make the trip. Take the ride around Biltmore house. Also the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Congrats on the bike, you'll love it. Wear that helmet.

Enjoy the ride.

Larry von

I spent a long time on Youtube looking at videos, lol. That was a great way to kill 1.5 hours of work :wink:

I just picked up a Blue & White (You know, the faster one :wink: ) GSX650F.
I've been riding for a while:

Yamaha TT350 -> Suzuki GS650GL -> Suzuki Katana -> Suzuki DR350 -> Honda CBR600F4i -> Suzuki Bergman 650 -> Vespa LX150 -> We are Here.

What a great bike! Comfy and fast, with great manners in the curves. Hopefully, I can bring some of the knowledge I've collected to the group.

Interesting bike line Sid! Got me to thinking about mine - since age 12 it is represented thusly:-

Victa 125 cc zip-start -> RD 250 -> Kawasaki 250 KLR -> Yamaka XY (or something; round about 1983) 600cc -> Kawasaki ZZR 250 -> THE BLACK (FASTEST) ONE!!!

Should be going to the stealers on sunday to put a deposit on a sparkly new blue one for delivery early september!
In barbados most of august so no point in taking delivery yet and it will be a '58' registration in uk.

I purshased the blue one.... for obvious reasons, its faster! I have never owned a bike before, so this is my first. So far I love it, my only complaint is my sore bum during a long ride.

This is a great forum and I have learned a lot.

Bought a beautiful black GSX yesterday. Pick her up tomorrow.

This is bike #6 in three years. I hope this one's a keeper (for the sake of my sanity....and my wallet!)

It will ultimately be set up for Sport-Touring. I'll do my best to take pictures and create How-To's as I go along.

Hi all,

New member from Aus. I got the black one, though ours doesn't have stickers or a silver tail.
So glad I found this site! Looks like I have a lot of posts to read over!

Just found this site and I'm stoked about that. I can't find anyone else in the area that has one of these and as a newbie bike owner/rider I have lots of questions.

Anyway, I've got the blue one 3 weeks ago and have already racked up 1,500 miles on it. LOVE it.
