Hi guys.

I've bought this bike 5months ago(already done 8000km since then) and it has been great even though I dropped it twice
anyway.... Today after i finished work I started my bike just as usual and start to roll on,
all the sudden the engine died and smelled like petrol.
I put my bike on centre stand, checked the bike, and I saw petrol were dripping from bottom of bike.
Thank god there was a factory tool came with the bike i managed to lift my tank and re connect the fuel line.

I just have no idea how could this thing comes off! I went to work just fine 5hrs before I had this problem.
I wonder if I should take this to dealer or not.
I had my recent service (6000km) at some random bike shop on september(just because it was close to my house).
and only had after market exhaust & crush knobs on after that service.
So I havent had chance to play around with this fuel line and I even doubt if the bike shop which did a service actually
took the tank off...

Has anyone had same problem before?
and Should I take my bike to suzuki dealer and get it check? would you reckon it would be cover by warranty?
It is just so not comfortable thinking if the fuel line just comes off when riding....

thanks guys!

If they had to check or replace the sparkplugs... they had to remove the tank

I have not taken my fuel tank off to see how the fuel line is connected. If a rookie took off the fuel tank to deal with the spark plugs, then maybe the fuel line was not reattached properly. And, since I don't know much about the mechanics involved with fuel lines, could an air bubble be in the fuel line? Air expands when warm, and that might be just enough to pop the fuel line away from the connector. But, I kinda believe the fuel line was not properly reconnected. Perhaps a clamp was not put back on.

I would check to make SURE it is clicked into place, and forget about going to the dealer again.
(Clean off excess gas spilled on top of engine of course)
It is possible (but doubtful) that there is something wrong with the connector.

I've had the tank off a few times and when putting everything back it's quite easy to not put the lines back properly.
I always check to make sure the connector clicks in and the two hoses are pushed in all the way.

If the mechanics are pushed for time and rushing a bit it's a simple thing to just shove it all on and assume it's connected.
When they did the service, the tank has to come off to replace the air filter. I don't think it's anything you have to worry about,
but as BundyGuy said, yes it is possible the connector is broken and working itself loose. If your confident you can check
it yourself easy enough. Just make sure it does click in.

Good mechanics are to find.
