To my fellow 650 riders!

Last week I went to go change the clock on my bike due because of daylights savings time. I went to push the adjust button in, and it went through and the button disappeared into the gauge. Luckily my bike was still under warranty.

Today I got my new gauge installed, no big deal. I went to check everything and my Odometer said I have 0 miles. Of course I got a little worried. I talked to them, they said there is nothing they can do about that unfortunately, but it will work out better for me in the long run   So I asked them since my bike has 0 miles on it now, does that mean I get new tires to match under warranty   The dealer suggested I just write down the previous mileage in my owners manual.

Just thought I would bring this to your guys attention incase you guys would ever have to get a new gauge cluster!

All the info for mileage etc.... is stored in the display unit.
If you replace the old with a new display you are back to '0' readings. There is not much you can do about that.
