Thanks everyone! I would say that gives me the conviction that I should stay with the 650. I have sat on one just about every time I'm at the dealer and it seems to fit well, though an actual ride would tell better. This has been a great forum and hope to truly be a part of it soon. Just need to repaint some panels on the Burgman and get her sold first.

Bike is sporty, exactly the power you would expect from the cc's that it is.
Excellent mpg.
Excellent "overall" bike for all occasions, work and fun factor.
Suzuki is the best,

Bikes had: 1993 Suzuki Katana 1100, 1993 Suzuki Katana 600, 2008 Suzuki GSX650f

I was so proud of every Suzuki I ever rode.

Maybe I'm getting power hungry with old age.
But I reckon that if you're going to fork out for the 650 you may as well spend a bit extra and get the 1250. The 1250 is only about 20kilos more in weight, and you do get the advantages of more torque and you get the anti vibration balancer shaft which you don't get with the 650. The 1250 motor is lower stressed than the 650 so it will probably last a bit longer. The only thing that I'm not keen on with the 1250 is that the radiator is a bit small for hotter climates, I know the 1250 has an oil cooler but the heat exchange for the oil cooler still uses the same radiator.
I like my 650, but when I'm doing 100kph and about to overtake a semi and I shift down to 4th or 3rd, I'm starting to feel the need for more grunt and the voices sayto me "you should have done a bit more overtime and spent just that little bit more you tight arsed bastard then you wouldn't be wondering what if". Stupid voices.
You walk into a bar and there are two girls there, ones a reasonably good looking but a bit plump and slow, the other is good looking too, but has these long long legs and looks like she would be far more fun to chase and win. And she would be addored by you for a long long time.
You must ask yourself which one would be more fun to ride?
