Not sure on the rules here in OZ I think we need the indicators spaced alittle wider. Police have been cracking down on little things on the bike roads on weekends.
This is the law in Georgia (US)
O.C.G.A. § 40-8-26 (2009)
§ 40-8-26. Standards for brake lights and signal devices
(a) Any motor vehicle may be equipped and when required under this article shall be equipped with the following signal lights or devices:
(1) A brake light on the rear which shall emit a red light and which shall be actuated upon application of the service (foot) brake and which may but need not be incorporated with a taillight; and
(2) A light or lights or mechanical signal device capable of clearly indicating any intention to turn either to the right or to the left and which shall be visible from both the front and the rear.
(b) Every brake light shall be plainly visible and understandable from a distance of 300 feet to the rear both during normal sunlight and at nighttime, and every signal light or lights indicating intention to turn shall be visible and understandable during daytime and nighttime from a distance of 300 feet from both the front and the rear. When a vehicle is equipped with a brake light or other signal lights, such light or lights shall at all times be maintained in good working condition. No brake light or signal light shall project a glaring or dazzling light.
(c) All mechanical signal devices shall be self-illuminated when in use at the times mentioned in Code Section 40-8-20.
(d) All lenses on brake lights and signal devices shall be maintained in good repair and shall meet manufacturers' specifications.
Guess we have it pretty easy.

I'm now making the casing covers out of 3M Di-Noc carbon vinyl which is a lot thicker but more expensive (£70 per metre compared with £12). Also making them for the Sprocket cover too.
I'm still reading through these so this might have already been posted, but thought I would get it out there. Has anyone heard anything good or bad about any of these? I'm looking in to a couple of em and don’t know much about the companies.

Link number one - Do Not Buy. Fit's all bikes!!!....anything will fit if it's cut up enough. How can 1 tail fit 'all bikes'.? You are better off with 'powerbronze', 'espace-tuning', 'skidmarx', or 'Ermax' being the most popular. Do a google search and you will find them.
Link number two - an expensive metal bracket. That's all it is. End result looks great and involves cutting off all of your existing tail section to fit it. I believe they are a very neat finish and have not heard anything bad about them. Not a bad option really. Just check the legalities of removing your reflector, number plate LED etc.. for your states laws.
Link three - see Ebay. Same thing available and probably cheaper. A few have done it with no complaints. Again, just check the laws about an intergrated unit for your location. They are illegal where I live.

What is you opinion on the best parts to add to my bike are, quality and performance wise?. was just wondering, i am only really looking for performance parts in general but quality matters to me i do not want to be putting crap on my new bike. any clues ?????

Depends what you want really to acheive and your taste. But common quality brands are; Exhausts (slip-ons) Yoshimura, 2 brothers, Scorpion, leo Vince. All good quality. Fuel Mapping - Power Commander or if purhasing a 2 bros. exhaust the Juice Box is good. Ignition timing retard eliminator - Healtech X-TRE. Sprockets - Vortex. Air Filter - K&N, BMC - not sure if they make one.
There is not a whole lot you can acheive without an engine rebuild. And if your doing that you bought the wrong bike. My 650F is loaded up us much as it can be with aftermarket perfomance products and I gained aprox. another 10.7hp and another 7 lb/ft of torque.

Thanks for the info. all i am looking for really is a nice sound and a bit of a power boost. i am saving for a gixxer but i cant afford the insurance for a couple of years, as i am only 18 right now. but thanks again and happy riding. i cant wait. damn snowy Canada!!
Very good info, thank you to all. Does anyone have instructions on how to remove the two cups on the fairing behind those screens? I am looking to put some lights in there but cannot seem to get the cups removed. Do I need to remove the entire fairing? Maybe just a part of it? I want to do it myself instead of taking it to a shop.
