I brought some cheap LED indicators from ebay a few weeks ago, so here is a short review. The indicators are cheap, only cost me $25 for 4 of them, but not only cheap in price but cheap in quality (what was i expecting) Once fitted, the first time in the wet they got bad condensation, and the first time in a heavy down pour they started filling up with water. So i drill a couple of holes in the bottom for drainage and hope this will stop any condensation. Now they have some rust where the LEDs are mounted. Screw this, I have ordered some Oxford mercury LEDs and lesson learned. Here are some pics of the cheapo ones to avoid. (they still work though).

My oxford ones have holes in them ,so the water can come out.
Only noticed them after I fitted them and had just had to unscrew the lens cover and turn it.

Sleddog, you have the holes at the top when the rain stops to prevent the spray from entering, you of all people should know that.

Do you know why the rust ? Ah Ha i do. Working with electronic i found there has been a

cost cutting change done to passive components "resistors capactors" and active components "transistors diodes".

i noticed the leads on carbon film resistors would cling to my cutters YEP magnetic. so instead of tinned

copper it is now tinned steel, so if any unit is not proper sealed it will rust and soon short out.

Only advice i have is either clear coat both sides of the circuit board or pot with fiberglass resin

Found the same problem with my ebay indicators.
But I soldered the original wires onto the indicator.
When putting it all back together, I used a little silicone and sealed the lens.
No condens, no water, for more than 1 year now.
