Two questions for the forum: 1. Has anyone ever done a brake change on our 650F? Wanting to have a minor play-by-play, as I'm about to change out my front brakes and wouldn't mind hearing from anyone that's been down this road about the replacement and bleeding process.
2. Has anyone ever tried to adjust down the potential of the back brake? I had a near-miss the other day and hit my back brake fully, locking the back wheel up into a power slide on the freeway at 65mph. Luckily I recovered (although you should have SEEN the look of panic on the guy driving the jeep 10' behind me), but ever since I've toyed with adjusting the back brake so that it doesn't grab as easily.
Any feedback would be great. I'll post a write up on the HOW TO... when I finish.

I would appreciate a HOWTO on this subject. I am going to replace my front pads sometime in the next few months and I will also be replacing the brake lines at the same time, but i am too cheap to buy a service manual to know how to do it.

The brake lines are very easy. The hardest part is bleeding all the air out of the lines. There is no need for a manual to change out the lines.

Actually, I did it with some friend help. We changed the original front wires for the HEL kit, and after 3000km they're working great! The fluid level is ok and I used two or three times with some strenght. Front brakes are so sensitive now (comparing with the original ones).

Changing the brake pads is easy. Bleeding the system..... you'll need a tool, hose and bottle or an extra pair of hands. Mounting steel brakelines... yes please.... theire on my wishlist.

remove all brake fluid take old parts off lay to one side put new parts on (refer to old parts to ensure all parts are replaced that need to be) make sure you don't ahve any left over bits bleed system (yes it's a clutch but the principle is the same) have a beer
