Went for a ride today to kill some time to a place called Safety Beach. Had not been there for years and it's only about 30min away from my house. Getting there is via a road that follows the coast with some geat views and a few good twisty's, so worth the ride. Took a few pics of the bike to test out the camera quality of my mobile phone. Actualy had to shrink them in photoshop.

Great pics Biker Boy.I remember when you powder coated the wheels and I was envious of that look.Since I live on a distant continent in the northern hemisphere would you mind if I copy you? Is it difficult to keep the rear wheel clean? charlie

No you may not, I kind of like being the only one in the world with white rims on a 650F only joking. Go for it. I'm actually surprised no one else has done it yet. many have said they will do it but I'm still yet to see a pic.
Don't get them powder coated. The finish is too hard and will eventually crack, chip and scratch. Mine were painted.
As for keeping them clean, sometimes they get filthy in a day and sometimes they are spotless for 3 weeks. Depends on the rain and road grime. Everything wipes off easily and the rear does not get any worse than the front.

I recommend putting a few coats of wax on them makes cleaning them a million times easier I also do this with my wheels on my car

Looks great btw
Thanks Wrongturn
I found a product last week from the company 'ArmourAll'. It's simply called 'wheel protectant' and designed to repell all the crap. You just spray it on and leave it. Just trying it out at the moment.
