hi new to this.well i have a k9 model gsx650f the bike was LAMS and i have just replace the ecu with the full powered one.the bike has a two brothers pipe and a k&n filter.having some problems when the bike is cold it revs right out to redline but once its warms up it starts missing at 7000rpm and full throttle it just dies.i did check the plugs and they were running very white which means its lean.i took it to the shop they now nothing about this type of bike.i was looking at buying a two brothers juice box will this fix it.or has anybody got any other idears to try.cheers

The full power ecu is not simply a plug & play operation into the LAMS bike. You need to take your bike to a shop that can put it on the dyno and re-tune it. (about $350)
The Juice box will not correct the problem either, but I do suggest you install the JB before you get the bike tuned and get the whole package done in one hit.

hi jessie,
Not sure which part of Oz you're from but
Is the full pony ECU : *Oz spec *euro (eg UK) spec, or *USA spec ie: where did you get it from. It makes a difference and could explain the problem which could lead to an easy fix.
You don't say if there are any DTC's so suspect not, but if they are - what are they.
I'd like to suggest you get this problem sorted first before you add a JB (PC ect) as they only mask the problem or amy lead to other problems further down the track.

Is this really true? I mean people change the ECU or add a PCII because the ECU is not user programmable, so what exactly would be retuned with a dyno run?

Not 100% sure on this, but there is another member on this forum who did it and that's exactly what needed to be done. He bought his ECU from the UK.
When I had my PC-V installed I took it to the same place that his ECU upgrade was done and they were showing me the results of prior ECU, ECU install and ECU tuned on his LAMS bike. I don't know exactly what they did or how they did it.

there are a lot of things it could mean. One is an engine that is running the exhaust so hot that any unburnt fuel on overrun is being ignited in the header/cat/muffler
Like we discussed via PM, change the fuel filter and get back to us if the problem still exists. IMO lets do one thing at a time to try and help fix you problem (keep in mind it is hard to diagnose and fix a bikes problem over the net so we do our best to help but may not get it right straight away)
i took the filter out and just give it a wash out and blow some compressed air in it at the same time.till the shop gets me one in.put it back in and still run the same.but i did notice that when u free rev it and it starts missing it puts the flame out the exhaust.

Put the LAMS ECU back in and see if the problem still exists.
It's a strange one that happens now and then but perhaps the new ECU has not been flashed with the correct maps at build.
If the problem goes away with the LAMS ECU fitted then look into returning the ECU as it is potentially faulty and get GIXXF's ECU as it's heaps cheeper and proven as he has had it running without problem by the looks of things
ECIT: pity you didn't take pics when you had the filter out and do a "HOW TO" for all as it is one thing that needs to be done form time to time. I'm going to pull my bandit filter out soon so I'll do one if noone else gets to it 1st.
thanks every1 for all the help i had a nother go at cleaning the tank out this time i pulled every thing to pieces i found water and dirt all in every thing. Give every thing a good clean put it back in and it has not missed a beat.iv only ever used premo fuel and it still blocked up.this time i will be doing my fuel filter every 6000klm.(it's like having a new bike).thanks again
