I looked at stuff in the states but the problem is you sometimes end up paying more with border tax and exchange rate. not sure this was simple enough i am happy. thnx for the tip tho i will look into that next time!

I ordered a set of tires from Motorcycle Superstore last year. They come across the border via UPS ground, adding $70 plus duty fees on top of the bill. If you're ready for tires at the end of this upcoming season you should head to the bike show in TO. I got a set of regular Pilot Powers for $205 from the Riders Choice booth. The 120 front/ 190 rear combo for the larger bikes was $220. Next time I'm bringing the truck and a pocket full of cash :)

pilot powers are always cheaper than pilot road 2's by usually 50-100 bucks. Have checked many sites for the cheapest PR2's. Finally found a set of 180/55/17 rear and 120/70/17 front for $273 shipped. He should have been able to get them for under 300 though. Still, he didn't get a terrible price on them as when mine arrived today, the price tag was still on them and had I paid what they were tagged, the total would have been over 400.

VERY many riders in Ontario, and Quebec are happy with the prices and service at "Petes Superbikes". They specialize in the more common tires and sizes, and deal in high volume to keep the prices down.

Check them out (The prices are always low, you don't have to wait for a "sale")
http://www.petes-superbike.com/.

You will have to get them mounted yourself however.
