I bought my bike new last October, still waiting for warmer weather but the problem I have is not with the bike, it is brill, it is with the alarm I had put on.
It is an Acumen Cat 1.1 and has been a real pain in the ass, trying to disarm the alarm to move the bike.
Acumen are convinced that I have radio interference from a wireless transmittor in the vacinity of the garage, but i'm sceptical.
The odd thing is, the longer the bike is laid up, the worse it is.
They have also suggested that the alarm battery may be running flat, and once I start using it in the summer, things will improve.
Strangely, it has never failed away from home, but is that because there would be some charge in the alarm battery by then, having ridden it.
The battery alarm charges from the bike ignition, and is constantly on a battery optimiser, but this doesn't help the alarm battery.
I'm getting fed up with it and am tempted to have it disconnected.
Any thoughts or remedies would be appreciated??

I had a Jeep grand cherokee 4wd with factory Alarm and the alarm "key pad" would never unlock the car door or for me to start it ,while I was parked near a Mobile phone tower .....that was every sunday afternoon while at the video store and some other locations in the city.
I would have to open it by key and push it about 4 meters or more and it would work .......my mate had the some prorblem with his ,I remembered him telling me about it when I said I got a jeep also and he said its happens at his work right under a mobile phone tower also.

If that is all it takes to make the alarm unusable, I'd take it off and get a different one.

I'd just get rid of it. Sounds like more than a pain in the ass than anything else. It's no good to you if it doesn't work efficiently.

Invest in a good disc lock or Titan Chain. They are cheap and hard to beat.
I had a titanium disc lock for mine and it was small enough to fit under the seat. Cost me $50.

If anyone was going to steal your F with one of those on it they'd need 4 guys to lift it up
and carry it away then get a big grinder out to try and remove the lock or chain.
A theif on the street wants quick and easy, not hours of hard work.

Keep us posted on how you go with the alarm. It may let others know to be a bit cautious about that particular brand.
