BB your brave , i reakon the wheels would last 5 minutes with the state of roads in Oz , a typical pothole and they'd be rs.

You should ride in Vic. The roads are good - infact really good. Watch the Vid too in the above link. You can literaly bounce the BST rims off a concrete floor with no worries at all. Hey thanks again for that 650F to Busa review you
gave me a few months back (via AHC mail). Read it a few times now.

Could I pack your F in my bag? I can sell it for you (USD 18000) here in Brazil. Easily.

Yep take it away mate. Should be no problems getting it back on the Plane with you.
If you can get me $18000 USD in a legitimate sale I'll give you $5000USD for your trouble. 8)

Hey I might even have the Busa when you get here too Mescol. Will still take the F on our trip,
but if I do have it, you can take it for a spin around the block.

Some people use to do that... bring bikes from foreign countries... the problem is our fuel. We have 25% (actually, 20% these last few days) of ethanol on our fuel. The motor need to be "tropicalized" and import taxes are a pain in the a**, but still worth. 18 thousand dollars is the money I spent on my F... cruel!

us aussies prefer methanol (racing fuel)

We have 10% ethanol available in some servo's in Vic but most people stay away from it.
I think we've got ELP (ethanol 10%), ULP 91 octane regular, and either 95 or 98 Octane premium.

98 octane? So nice! The best fuel here is 95 octane... but it's almost USD 2,00/litre. The regular one is USD 1,5/litre.

Octane numbers are measured differently in different countries. Your 95 may be 98 in Australia.

Right now regular fuel is about $.90 US per litre ($.96 CDN), here in Canada (it's even less in the U.S.).

If you can afford to keep both, great, but most can't, and it doesn't make much sense anyway, It might if one bike was a classic or cruiser, and the other a sport/touring, but that's not the case here. I'm sure the Busa will do everything the 650F will do, except...well...with 100 X more excitement!

Congrats... the Busa is my dream bike.

ahhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmm BUSA mmmmmm, have to clean up my spit dribbling from my chin. I would keep both for a few months and see if you are still using the F once the new bike feel wears off. If not then sell the F, and then ship the busa to canada for your new best friend!

I called Dibs on that BUSA ages ago!!!!

I agree with a lot of advice here bud. You said that if you keep the F that you would have to wait a year for the Busa mods. Well, after the new feeling wears off after a couple of months, sit back and look at the situation. If you want the ability to just cruise one day and go faster than the wind the next, keep them both and wait the year to get your mods. It would make you appreciate the bike more by having patience, young Padawan. Then when that year comes around you may decide to sell one or the other or keep both. I really don't think that it's a decision that needs to be rushed and then regretted later.

John

Sorry i have been gone for so long. Health and work issues. I hope all is well.

Your Alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome back John. Sent you a birthday message last month and all. Did you get it.?

The F is gone (as of tomorrow morning). A freind from work is buying it and I'm now counting down the hours to pick up the Busa. (9am tomorrow morning)
In the end I thought stuff it. Just buy the Busa and get the mods I want. The Busa is and was always my dream bike, so I'm making it all happen.
Hope things are picking up for you mate. Let me know if you want to go for a ride sometime. I'll meet you half way......let's say meet in South Africa at noon.

Cheers. Paul
