I almost did this, then I modified amber leds and use them as my front facing turn signals now.

IMPRESSIVE, most impressive ! !
I think a lot of us have thought of doing this, I know I have.
I thought of installing amber driving lights in those vents.
You need to post more details as to how you did this, what type of LEDs did you use, how are they wired, where did you get them, etc.

I used to have aftermarket mirror with amber LEDs in them. I broke a stalk and decided to try something different so I took them apart and used the LEDs to mount behind the mesh. They fit well, and I just wired them into my turn signal wiring.

I have some strip leds coming, along with some flush mounts. Strip in the air duct. I figured I would drill a little hole and connect the wires to the front indicators. I have gone ebay stupid on $30 pieces...

wicked willms81, nicest set of intergrated indicators along with sebakude's,

I had some LED's in my vents as additional lights on my 08 model, never wire them in though, then i wrote it off, so have done similar thing on my new 11 model.
