Picked it up yesterday and all I can say is............"I'm speechless"
The Hayabusa is definately one seriously cool machine. It rides effortlessly in every single aspect and is a dream to be on it. You all think the F is smooth, well you gotta try one of the these. Sorry to say it but the F feels like a vibrating tank by comparison and I know myself first hand that the F is a sweet ride.
The gearbox is something of an experience. I had to double check that I had even changed gears. No click, no klunk, no noise at all and no pressure on the boot. It is literaly straight into gear with no effort required, and the clutch feels quite light in comparison to the F too.
The brakes are "Holy shit!!!!" This thing can stop on a dime. There is so much stopping power it's like I'm finding myself pulling up 3 meters short of where I wanted to be and then crawling up to the line.
The acceleration is nothing short of phenominal. Even running it in and staying within the recommended guidlines I was straight out of the dealership and 20min later doing 180km/m with no effort required. In any gear at any speed this thing pulls hard (and I've only experienced 1/2 throttle). The scary part is that on a Busa you do not know you are going so fast. On the 650F doing 200km/h felt very quick, but on a Busa 180km/h feels like you are doing 60km/h. I seriously need to be careful with this. I struggled yesterday to keep the Busa below 130km/h and did not realise I was even there.
Anyway here is some pics of my new machine and I'll try to get some video from on the Busa this weekend. Enjoy!!!!

Congrats.
You will have to be careful on slippery surfaces since the Busa accelerates, and decelerates more quickly.
I suggest that you take it to an empty parking lot to familiarize yourself with the handling, and braking (so you will be more prepared for emergency situations).

Very beautiful. I have a soft spot for the Busa. I would love to own one, but it would be so far from practical that I just can't justify the expense. Enjoy the new ride.

The new Busa comes equiped with a mode selector to change between 3 different power levels. You can drop it's power down to a level appropriate for wet weather, another for city traffic and the other for being reckless. Have not tried it yet, but I believe it works very well and is extremely handy to have.

Words can not decsribe how I feel about this bike at the moment. It is just so damn good it's not funny. I feel like this Busa was designed just to suit me in every way. I was born to ride a Busa.....period!!! It is so quiet (that will change soon with a new exhaust coming) but I'm really enjoying it for now. The engine sound is nothing short of aggressive, but with the monster cans on it the Busa is seriously stealth.
The ride position is what you would expect with a more race orientated styling, but I am completley at home on it. The most I've done so far is a 2 hour straight ride on it, but I felt more discomfort on the F after 2 hours than the Busa. My only knock back is that the rider pegs are quite high by comparison and I've got long legs. Even still, I am not experiencing any discomfort. It's more a case of starting off with your feet on the ground and then finding your place on the pegs. The Busa seat gives plenty of room and is quite comfortable (have not tried the Gel seat yet either which is even better).
I tried the mode selector out today and it is a god send. Putting the Busa in C mode makes it more like 'my' 650F. ( I say my 650 as it was worked a bit for higher performance). It calms the power down quite a bit and will be great in the wet. Have not tried the B mode out yet but I imagine it would work excellent for the stuck in city traffic kind of thing. That just leaves A mode. I have now given the Busa a bit more than I should have. The opportunity arose and I left a GSXR1000 rider shaking in his boots while at a set of lights today. In 1st and half way through 2nd it was enough to call even but as soon as I hit 3rd things changed significantly and the Busa surged forward with immense force. I backed off at that point as truth be told I just about crapped myself. FYI...the Busa does just short of 200km/h in 2nd gear!!!.
The Busa is nothing short of a dream to ride and does everything you want it too. After run in I will be checking out the mileage capabilities, but for now I'm simply having fun.

I have always liked the busa but always had a complaint about them too as far as looks. To me they appear to front loaded...as in all the cosmetics are put up front with no attention to the back. In other words, you need to stretch that swingarm a bit That bike would look even more badass that it already does. They are sweet bikes. My question would be, how does it handle in the turns? I knew a guy that owned one and dropped down to a gsx1000 because of handling. But that was just his preference and every handles differently for everyone in my opinion. Sounds like you are really enjoying it. When I get my zx14, we'll have to give it a go. So one of us will need to be taking a vacation to another country lol. Nice bike BB....ride it like you stole it

So far so good. I have never been one for major twisty's at blinding speeds so I find it perfect in the turns. Can't say I've really given it a go on this bike yet but I'll keep you posted. The guys from the Australian Hayabusa Club don't seem to have any problems with it though. They do a lot of track days and also ride local twisty's and some busa riders will even leave the gsxr1000 riders wondering WTF just went wrong.

It's actualy 185km/h in 2nd gear and also about 130km/h in 1st gear. Don't forget this thing does over 300km/h without breaking a sweat. The quickest I have ever seen one of these going was a purpose built turbo with a top speed of 274mph. There is a YouTube clip of it, I'll try to find it and post the link.

Cheers mate and ride safe.
Thanks Papa. I will try to get some video organised soon. I promised Mescol some as well so I better get off my butt and do it. I am seriously loving this new toy and do intend to ride up one weekend to meet up with you and a few others. Cheers Mate.

The best part is: I'll be the first user of this forum to take a little ride with that beast !!!!! (i'm talking about the bike, right?)...
Remind me to disable three of the four cylinders first
I got a little taste of how much power the Busa has over the weekend and it took me by surprise in a big way. I had a gsxr1000 beside me at the lights and he took off pretty quick. At first I took off and thought I'll just keep on cruising but then I thought "what the hell". All I can say is; The Hayabusa is Fucking Fast!!!!!!!!!!!! and even that is a complete understatement.
...as for the gixxer, I don't know. I passed him like he was standing still and he never caught up.
