Just joined last night.
Bought my bike about 2 weeks ago. Have already had my service tuneup done friday. I actually bought the bike as commuter for work. I drive to work 15 days a month 91 miles round trip . The gas mileage was a big issue. I haven't owned or ridden in 16 years. Last bike was a VFR. I'm an old fart (45) compared to some around here I'm sure, but I'm not really into cruisers and the GSX looked comfy compared to an SV or any of the other crotch rockets.
Heres a photo of my new ride.

I loved the blue bike when I seen it at the motorcycle show ,but was told it was another 2 month wait for it over the full black one ,I have had 3 black bikes wanted a "colour" bike but didn't want to wait any more ,waited 6 months for this bike ,the second I seen it on the net I knew it was my next bike.
I got to the first service after 2 weeks and seen they had the blue bike in stock .
I said to the sales guy ,you told be 2 months ,you know I wanted the blue one . He pulled out the chair at his desk and said ,sit down and we can talk about a trade in and change over.

Hey everyone, I'm Glenn and I am new to this forum. I am glad to see one for the 650F. I am a brand new rider. Up until mid-March of this year I had never been on a motorcycle. I took the MSF class and purchased the 650F two weeks later. I have had mine for about 5 weeks and have 700 miles on it already. I have the black and silver model. I love the blue one and will get that color when I get a GSX-R 600/750 in a couple years.
I also just installed a Yoshimura carbon fiber slip on exhaust just last week. Check it out!
Before - With the stock exhaust
After - With the Yoshimura R-77 Carbon Fiber Slip-On exhaust

Hi Glenn,
Welcome to the forum, i have been wondering about the Yoshi. Any chance you can do an audio recording and put it on the forum.

Glenn -- Thanks very much for posting those. The Yosh exhaust sound is soooo much nicer plus it looks a heck of a lot better too. Exactly what I was hoping to hear. Have fun with the new bike...

Hey everyone. I am also a proud owner of a brand new GSX650F. I picked it up from the dealership yesterday. Man, it feels awesome! I love it! I am a brand new rider. I took the MSF class to learn some important basics (I live in North Carolina) and just had to buy this motorcycle. I couldn't wait to ride it so I took today off work and sat on my new motorcycle all afternoon. I have the black/silver model. Just like Glenn, I also installed a Yoshimura carbon fiber slip on exhaust. It looks and sounds great! Hope to put a lot of miles on this bike.

Hi Folks,
Count me in!!!
Bought my Black and Silver one today and I'm so pumped! Call it my evolution into sport biking. I purchased a 06 650R Ninga and had a great time on it. I gave it to my son so I started looking for a new bike and came across this bike from Suzuki. I'm a HD guy who likes to get out with my Sport bike firends and this is the ticket! Standard seat position, large, wide feel with alot less front end dive and a smoother power band.

Hi TobyPi and wawayne, congratulations on your new bikes, it's good to see grown men getting really excited about bikes rather then just buying them for posing and status.
Welcome to the forum, looking forward to hearing your reviews and ideas as you get used to the bikes.
Glyn

I bought mine a couple weeks ago, it rocks ! I've put about 300 miles on it already (it's rained alot out this way).
Had to order through the dealer, took about a week to get it in. Went to pick it up and they had bad news....the pipe had a huge dent in it ! They had ran into the shipping crate with the forklift while unloading it!
They immediately put a order through for a replacement and I took the bike home. Kind of embarassing driving around a new bike with a smashed pipe but hey, I'd been waiting all winter to finally buy this bike!
Well, another week went by and still no pipe. I asked them if I had to get the stock pipe and they said they could replace with a aftermarket pipe of equivalent value. The stock pipe runs $800 through Suzuki ! I saved them a couple hundred bucks and just had them order the Yosh Slip on instead. Sounds ALOT better than stock and in my opinion looks better (all that chrome seemed out of place to me).
PS-Tried uploading a pic but it's not working out...bikes looks identical to Glenndaz's bike.
By the way, it said on the Yosh website that there is an easily removable baffle for sound, where is that? Is it the black ring on the end? It's turned Gold now, just wondering if you just unscrew it or is it pressed in? Unfortunately the directions don't even mention it .

Hello everyone my name is Michael and I've been reading the boards for a couple of weeks now. I was waiting until I had a pic of the bike for my first post. I'm new to riding motorcycles; I've had the bike for about 3 weeks and got my license last week. So far I'm loving the bike and have put 350 miles on it. I live in East Tennessee so there are plenty of places for me to ride. Looking forward to doing some modifications to the bike. The only thing I have added so far are spaces for the mirrors.

Hi all, I'm also new to the motorcycle world only having ridden a scooter in the past 12 years. The dealership told me this would be a great bike to start out on seeing as I told them I didn't want to get in over my head. I purchased the black/silver one on friday and should pick it up tomorrow. Stinks having to rely on someone to go and drive it back for you. I don't have my permit yet so they won't let me drive it off the lot....dang it. Was going to pick it up yesterday, but it started raining and the way to get it home fell through.....sad because today is gorgeous and I could start driving it around the development that I live in where there is no traffic to get the hang it of it. Guess I'll have to wait till tomorrow night....workday will be long tomorrow I'm sure. Glad I was able to find this forum....found it last night around midnight hehehe....already read some interesting posts and have taken away some good information. Anyways...enough rambling...and the black one will always be faster
