You can call Suzuki if you have the key code (it's a little black tab that was attached to the spare) or if you wrote it down somewhere. If you don't have that code, you're SOL... you'll be needing a new ignition unless you wanna hotwire etc.
I found the key in the street today I guess when I was cleaning my truck out I dropped it. I went and made an extra key right away. I felt a lot better after I found it. And there is a way to get a key made without the code. There is a company that you can send your ignition to that can make an exact duplicate of you original key.

Yeah I got lucky finding it in the street. I called the local lock smiths here are ridiculous they wanted $120 to make a new key. It is Jacksonville of North Carolina though they know everyone here is Military so they jack the prices up on everything.

Amamzing how that works...I see the same problems here next to Ft. Hood. Bad thing is, young soldiers (most of which have never lived on their own and have no idea the value of an earned dollar) pay it with no questions asked.

If businesses can be shown to be shafting military members, which takes some work with complaints with facts, then they can be put "off limits" by the local base commander. But, this takes more than just some basic complaining that some young military members do.There are some unethical people out there, but I found most wanted to help the military. Many name brand places have discounts now for military members.

You are spot on with that one. I always tell my young marines never to buy anything without at-least doing some research. One of my junior guys bought a used vehicle at 30%. Hes paying more for the vehicle than it would have cost to get a new one. I tried for a couple of days to get him to take it back but he said its what he wanted.

$120?!! I went to a local locksmith here and charged me $6. (including the blank key). My advise to others who will have their key duplicated is to buy a blank on ebay for $5 and have it cut at home depot, Lowes or Ace hardware. I noticed places that can make duplicates just don't have the blank key but their machine can cut our key type.
