Hello, I bought a GSX650f without the entire headlight/Speedometer assembly and was planning to lean towards a streetfighter style build up... I also just bought a GSX650F stock speedometer with the square shape plastic that goes around it, but was still stuck on what light to get or if this one would work.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/STREET-F ... 000wt_1165

I am aware I need to buy the stock bracket to mount the speedometer to bike.

If you have any other light that you have used/bought that looks great, please show me the way!
Also if you have a website that sells stock/aftermarket GSX650F Headlights please show as well.

-Anything helps, thanks!

I use a round headlight that doesn't look great.
The three aluminium strips that support the speedo also look like shit.

Did you make the speedometer holder or was it bought, because even if they don't look good (which isn't that bad) they do hold it up...

Not trying to hijack the thread, but I really like the look you've got here. I'd be interested in any info you can give me, as far as where you got your pieces, and maybe some more detailed photos of the instrument cluster and headlight brackets.

Thanks guys, the reason is that I bought this bike with plastic damage, saved me many euros.

The headlight is "not legal" as it has no E (european) stamp in it but it works. It is H4 and not H7.
There is a relais in it to switch on a sigarette lighter for navigation (selfmade)

brackets:

The blinkers are just universal and I drilled a hole to fit them in the light bracket.

The speedo bracket are three strips of aluminium and I used them to align and see if it was ok, still ok after 5000km, top speed on speedo 225 (following cbr900)
The middle strip supports the speedo (not really attached to frame, it just touches the frame) and the three are using the original screws. the side strips pull the speedo to the frame.
The two outside strips are connected to the handlebar nuts but that is a strange size so a ugly leftover screw is used.

And my first bike 20 years ago; gsx1100ef with fairing removed and 1127 gsx-r engine;
same headlight setup  all selfmade, original engine was locked.

Thanks for the info 650. It gives me some inspiration for a bit of a winter project.

650, I'm with you dude: I don't particularly like the round headlight - it's too 80's and doesn't suit the modern styling of the frame and (especially) tank...
However, I do admire your bush electrics and cludged mountings - getting the job done for a reason, without being disgusting about it. Well done.

Spintopolis, I did a bit of research on this light on another site I'm on. A guy put a similar one on his GSF500. It looks good, but he says it's not very bright. I know it's not the exact same one, but it looks to be from the same supplier.

It looks like this one. (which is from the same e-bay store as the one you posted.)
