some before and after. It took me all day pretty much to do the one. since there are no instructions lol! they still function well. I can still see behind me. I need to touch em up with some paint in places. I did make some mistakes but tis what it tis. I post the ugly later, I have to find the courage to start the other one. this was rather hard on the nerves lol.

It looks "OK" - I'm still a little shocked from the photos of the fender-chop, so that's about as generous as I'm gonna get this morning...
I'm assuming the undercuts aren't that bad, but I don't see why they wouldn't hold up? Unless it goes over, of course, in which case I think the mirrors will be the last thing on your mind...

Nitekreeper, you've clearly proven that you have nothing better to do aside from trolling. I think everyone here would agree with me.
I found out about a year ago that mirrors will "not" hold up when they get wacked by a bird at 65 mph, While the mirror did quite a bit more damage to the bird than the bird did to the mirror, I could not get the mirror to be stable enough to hold so it was a new set of mirrors for me

this is what I did...I taped the stem, cut it down to four inches, used a flat file and filed to fit "washers included" placed it in the bracket, made a mark and drilled my hole. took about an hour. "second time around" first time I didn't tape the stem and scratched it up a little on the drill press!

Great Idea! I Like it. Will have to see if my wife will want this one dun to her ride. I think it looks much cleaner. As long as they are still functional its all good.

they function fine! If you want some detailed tips just hit me up. I didn't get the first mirror perfect. the second one came out really well. not hard to do at all. hard on the nerves doing the first one cause I had no idea where it was going or how it was going to end up! I had chopped the windscreen so the mirrors looked right out of wack when I put them back on!

Doesn't look too complicated. Cut off about 1.5 to 2 inches. File flat to the same thickness as original. Place new end in mounting area and center punch for hole. Drill hole and check for mounting. I will most likely round off the end as the original for adjustment purposes if needed and then apply some rustoleum paint and that should about complete it. No big deal if you screw up that bad but these daggum mirrors aint cheap are they.
