Where are the best storage areas on this bike? I've got a few things I'd like to stow without having to carry a tank bag (rain gear, cover, etc).

Only place would be under the seat where the tools are that I can think of?

It's a Suzuki, not a K-Series Beemer or a Flying Lounge Suite.
Get a top-box, or (if you'd rather look like a man...) a rack and bag.

I woke up didn't I?
Seriously tailbag, panniers, top-box or rack and bag - all 4 have pros and cons, and it depends what mix of price, security, portability, capacity, aesthetics, ergonomics, etc you're looking for.

I found 2 padded cordura nylon lens cases in a camera department, for only $10.00 each. They have zippered tops & I sprayed them with 2 doses of Scotch Guard to waterproof them. I then velcroed them down on to the black plastic panels on the inner fairing, under the handle bars. They don't lock, but they are quite secure in the wind while riding, & they hold almost as much as the bins I used to have on my old Concours. (bandana, sunscreen, tire press. gauge, spare fuses, etc.) 3500 miles & they are dry & secure, & don't look too odd.

Hi Jim K that set looks very cool. The first post about any space, my girlfriend says the storage area is a "Unk "
not a trunk so funny ya not much storage. Do be careful stuffing under the under tail section easy to damage the
wire harness for stock or aftermarket tail lamp assembly.

That's the mail reason when i did the comp werks under tail, that retains all the storage
bins for paperwork and ECM and tool storage.
