hey coolaid, are you happy with the seat cowl? im thinking about it but im wondering if i could get it painted to better match the tail section. if its not a good cowl then i wont get it. been lookin for a solo seat conversion and they are freakin expensive.

I'm right there with you man.. I want a solo seat so bad, but haven't even found one to price.. lol

The seat cowl is ok... I wouldn't say it is perfect, but it gets the job done.. I think it would look much better if it was silver like my tail is.

It pretty much just clips on to the seat and seems to fit fairly well..

i was looking at some of the bandit solo seat conversions wondering if they might fit since the tail is the same for the 07 bandit1250/650. hmm i have to get the cowl and break out my sander and get some colormatched paint and we see what i can come up with.

this site has the seats for the 1250/650 bandit from 2007 that shares the tail with our bike. its about a quarter of the way down the page under "seats"

the seat cowl for the 1250 is the only one that is compatable with ours, and it is the same one that I have already.

all of the solo seats on that site are for 600 or 1200 and from what I have seen they will not work.

Finally, Finally got them in from Powerbronze. The hugger took about 20 minutes to install, i got teh undertail put on at the shop. BE WARNED, teh lights dont work as signals, so i had to order a pair of small ones ($20) Small price for a way better look I think.ImageImageImageImage

I read in some review that Zuke used the bar from naked sv650 on our bikes.

The following links relate to where I had my seat modded. This included polymar pro pad insert work, slightly lowered and a new heavier vinyl cover.

This is a link for the Green Light Trigger magnet which fits on the underside and helps to trigger redlights. I have the 'original' and it works very well. They also offer an 'hp' model which offers a higher effectiveness rating of 95. I am very happy with mine and sure beats having to drive around on a redlight that won't turn.

Note, I am not sure what uk and aus have for redlights. This thing works on the principle it will trigger the magenetic detectors embedded in the road.

btw: I found mine on ebay.

+1 and thanks! At the price I went right ahead and ordered one. Got the bundle of the HP trigger and their finger swipe to squeegee your face shield, which also sounds cool, if kind of random.
