Interesting how Suzuki offers a full black version in the UK. Here in the states they only offer the blue GSX color scheme and black with the same GSX striping. Solid black looks pretty good, but of course not as good as the blue. :D

I sure hope we can get this forum up and running with some good stuff, first thing i want is a hugger, only Powerbronze eem to do one at the moment, but will keep looking.

Yes, have had the bike a couple of days now, (as i am a member of the older fratermity), I do not go very fast. It is IMHO, really quick when the throttle is opened, and oh sooooooo smoooooooth.

Not to sure about the weight of the bike, but i am learning. Been out in some lovely weather (rain), i like to take it easy, cos i am older and only passed my test a week ago.

Overall I like it, thinking about lifting and bringing the bars a little nearer, but think i should get used to the position they are in for the moment. Suffering from a little neck ache and a bit of shoulder ache, (but that could just be old age).

Really looking forward to when i can go out and feel comfortable with it, I am longing to throw it into some bends. I have noticed it is easy to flick from one side to another on our traffic calming areas. There are plenty of country roads here in the north of England.

Will be taking the wife with me this weekend, (learning to ride 2 up). Will let you all know how it goes.

Pops

I used to get neck and arm pain when I started to ride about 3 years ago ,but it goes away ,it was because I was tense.
I still got to remind my self to relax the arms ,use your body {stomach} to hold my weight.

You got your licence a week ago and you going two up  .
We have to wait by Law for 1 year.

Make sure you take some pictures and do a ride report ,be good to see the country side and places you guys get to ride.
I'll do the same once I get some time ..im in the middle of moving house.

Pops, glad to see your liking it. I'm surprised about how so many people talk about the weight. This bike is 100 lbs lighter than the cruiser I had so I think it's light. New rider and going two up? Be careful. Do some power braking and accelerating in an open area like a parking lot. I've been riding for 30 years and I still do that when I get a new bike just to understand the bikes personality. Have great time.

Hi, I had a riding lesson with my direct access instructor, specifically about pillions. My wife and I went to the motorcycle riding centre and spent about an hour doing slow riding in the car park area. Then my wife and I were fitted with headsets and went out on the road with the instructor. I must say my wife really enjoyed the exerience as did I. We went out for about three hours, we did town and country riding, learning about breaking and acceleration techniques particular to riding with pillions.

My wife and I have just spent the weekend together on the bike, and to be honest, the more time we spend on the bike the better it feels. I am a great believer in safety first, (hence the riding lesson). My wife learned techniques to do with pillion riding, this has helped both of us a lot. So now, we both feel ok.

Like I always say, "Any fool can go fast in a straight line".

Great idea to have a pillion lesson ,they do have a course here in OZ on a race track so you havn't got any others to worry about ,just letting you and the pillion to get the feel of it.
My wife won't go pillion on a bike EVER ,so one less thing to worry about for me when I have to pick out a new bike.

But she did see the new piagio 3 wheel scooter and I think that might be something she would have a go of.

Hi and welcome Elaine, we are getting new members slowly, but as the bike sells more I am sure there will be a lot more happening on the forum.

Don't think it is quite time for a rally of all the owners, not sure which continent we should have it on, lol.

Pops

I got the black/silver one for the same reason. I wish we had the option of full black or even full blue. I'm not too keen on stripes and/or graphics.
