Although it sounds as though you might be getting one under the new management?

Wow that is just incredibly high. Sorry to everyone on this post who pays more than we do (usa) and I know the recent financial turmoil has made it worse for many. We do have a new admin now so maybe things will improve.

You do have to take into account we do not have a nationalized health system or many other social benefits such as retirement or even time off. You have to pay your own way or have a retirement in place from where you work. I know many people up in age who due to the market crash cannot plan to retire anytime soon. I wonder what average pay is in places like DK compared to us?

Dont be sorry, as you say, we can go to the doctor for free, and all treatments at the hospital are free as well. You get payed to go to college and the university. This is only some examples. So our systems are quite different :)
I guess the average pay in Denmark is higher than in the US.

Yes we may get some health care assistance but it will probably need to be augmented by your own purchased plan. Health care is very expensive here and I emphasize VERY.

Swan you are right, I overlooked education, here you can get some assistance but its not guaranteed. You basically pay your own way and many have to borrow to make it through. Once again, imv its expensive.

Not sure about the pay thing, I know europeans pay more in taxes. Hopefully things will improve and everyone can prosper again soon!

Sorry I know all of this is off topic.
