Just seen a post from Australia selling his GSX650F for a Busa. He is hoping to get 9000AUD which at todays rate is £4058 (UK pounds). New he paid 12K AUD which is £5420.
I have just bought mine (19th December), brand new, 0 miles on the clock, delivered anywhere in the UK for £3999 including 6months road tax. There is now an advert in Motorcycle News from the same large company in the south of England for an ex-demo with 800 miles on it for £3695.
My question is what equivalent prices are you paying in other countries?
The pound is at such a low against other currencies, it was $2 to the £ and now is less than $1.40. So imports should be more expensive.
UK has always been so expensive and is known for charging more than anywhere else. Are prices falling due to the "Credit Crunch"?
The list price was £5180 before the Gov. dropped VAT (after sales tax) from 17.5% to 15% so then was £4800ish. To find it on the web at £3999 was amazing.
What are the prices around the world?
No it wasn't, I had to wait 10 days and it was registered new to me.
http://www.georgewhite.co.uk/ has double page adverts in the press and a good website.
(I'm honestly nothing to do with them!!!)
cheapest I could find.

The Australian one was with extras ...pipes and tyres and rim insurance .
A stock 650f ride away ....registered is $10,000 in most shops.
Suzuki recomended sale price ,just for the bike its self is $10,000 ...so we are getting the registration and sales tax for free which is about $1000.
So as of this minute .
$10,000 AUS = $6,754.76 USA { about $6000 is the price I see they pay}
$10,000 AUS = $ 4,556.01 United Kingdom Pounds { about $4000 in the UK}
$10,000 AUS = $ 234,657.59 Thailand Baht
Before the the USA banks put us all in the shit ,the Aussie dollar was around 90c + for a USA dollar ,now its 65c.
We pay more down here for everything no matter how the world is going ,but we will have to pay more now

If I was to buy that GIXXER 1000 in the add the best I could do with a suzuki loan is 12% ....Gee you guys have got it good ,im guessing it would be $5000 more for us Aussies with interest and the cheaper cost you guys pay.

To date the list price here in Slovakia (Europe) is €6590 which is approximatelly 8760 USD or 5865 GBP.
That´s a far lot more than you pay in UK,Australia or USA.
I dont know why it is like that.
When I was buying mine back in April 2008 the list price was 10000 USD.

Wow that is just incredibly high. Sorry to everyone on this post who pays more than we do (usa) and I know the recent financial turmoil has made it worse for many. We do have a new admin now so maybe things will improve.
You do have to take into account we do not have a nationalized health system or many other social benefits such as retirement or even time off. You have to pay your own way or have a retirement in place from where you work. I know many people up in age who due to the market crash cannot plan to retire anytime soon.
