Hi, a few thoughts on the Fixxer, I bought a new one in March 2011 after a 14 year gap from riding. a friend suggested we test rode one each, until then I had given a thought to buying a Suzuki. I loved it immediately, not a bad riding position, ample power and great handling. After such long lay off from biking I took a long time to relax, when riding I used to get bad aches in the shoulders and neck, now after a couple of thousand miles I can ride 200 miles or more with no pain. This is partly due to fitting a Sergent seat (low version), this greatly increased comfort for me and my wife riding pillion. A great bike solo or two up, rock steady at high speed when loaded with a passenger, tank bag and soft panniers though still a bit of struggle at low speeds. I also fitted a Vario screen, much less wind buffeting and noise. Don't like the standard can, am thinking of fitting a Beowulf has any one experience of fitting these, I need to keep the centre stand, is that practical?

Hey Rob,
Welcome and great to have you. I found on youtube a video which shows the final result: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqU0iqEbSW4, from what I can see, not much different from other slip-on's. A fellow of this forum write a tad about it: beowulf-exhaust-t2993.html. I did replace that bazooka can with a Yoshimura TRC, it was a 1-2-3 job and straight forward less than an hour.

In re: Center stand, do I need to keep it? I don't know about the street regulation of the UK, here in the US, my SuziF never came wit hit, so I would have to by it as an accessory. I personally don't like it as it just adds with not much of a benefit, UNLESS, you load it with saddle and side bag/cases, than I could imagine, that a center stand might work better than the kick stand.

Take care

The Beowulf link pipe for the 650F has a similar stop on it to the one on the OEM pipe - all I had to do was to take the rubber bung from the OEM and put it in the Beowulf - whole job took about 20 mins - well worth getting a new gasket though as the one in the OEM pipe can take some getting out. :)
