A buddy of mine just purchased a Busa and let me ride it for a bit and now I can't stop thinking about it! Cruising at 80mph in 4th gear with a lot of RPM to spare is down right wrong lol.

Aren't those things sweet? The look like they're going 65 just sitting still. Same dimensions, same weight, twice the power. I'd end up spending three times as much on tires as I would on gas. And five times that on speeding tickets

I think "sweet" would be an understatement. For once I felt like I was "in" the bike and not sitting on top of it like other bikes i've ridden. The power, oh the power. The throttle becomes an on/off switch after the bike hits a certain RPM range. It's fun and friggin scarey at the same time!

Yup, exactly. I still love my GSXF though, especially since I just paid it off today! Owned it since late Oct.

the power on a busa is very addictive. A majic carpet ride is the best way to describe it.
I thought the same thing , stepping of the gs500 and test riding a gsx650f , i couldn't stop thinking about it (the gsxf). Two weeks later i bought it. lol

Every time my gf and I go to a bike shop, the one and only bike that she ever comments on is the busa. She makes my baby cry but that is one bad ass piece of machinery.

IsaaX, How was riding position? I've heard Busa has better riding position that Gixxers. Is that true?
It's really hard for me to say because the Busa I rode had Helibars installed so the clip ons were already set at a higher height than stock. It was quite comfy for me being a short 5'7". My feet actually have an easier time reaching the ground on the Busa than my GSXF with my 27" inseam.
I must say tho, the Gixxers have more comfy ergo's than the other sport bikes i've ridden like the R6 and ZX6R.

No, it's not just you. The first time I saw it I thought "That thing is going to age very badly", and in my opinion, it already has. Mind you, the gsx750F sold for a very long time, and it was also butt-ugly...

I've got the best of both worlds in the garage.....my 2008 Black GSX650F and hubby's 2000 Red/Grey Busa. The speed and smoothness is unbelieveable. So easy to be doing well over the speed limit whilst enjoying the ride. Unfortunately because I am only 5ft I can't ride the Busa until it's lowered but from a pillion point of view the Busa is the best of the sports tourers.
