Be extra careful putting the sling around it even after you put the rubber protector on it. The very top can still scratch it which is where I failed to protect it.
When people say it is LOUD they are not kidding! Of course you control how loud it is by how you ride it. An added benefit I didn't expect was that it has much less vibration in my heel plates at the 3k rpm range like the stock pipe did.
You are gonna love it!

There is a way to polish out a scratch. Get yourself a headlight lense repair kit. You will need to polish the whole pipe otherwise you will notice the difference. You can start with a rougher grade of sandpaper to even out the scratch and then work your way down to a very fine grade of sandpaper. then polish with a polishing compound. Its a lot of work but worth the effort.

There is a 2000 grade wet-or-dry sandpaper available, I use it for polishing my headlights on the car. It is almost as fine as paper and will do the finish work.
