Just a few tips to a great tutorial that I find help me. I took off my front top fairing that goes around the headlight. Trying to get that thing back on was getting frustrating. I then put some lithium grease on every rubber grommet that the plastic went into and the fairing slid back into position nice and easy. Also put some lithium grease on the rubber grommet where the tach/instrument cluster goes into and it when back in place with very little pressure. A little lube sure made things work so much better.
Great post & a big help. I just put a Puig dark smoke screen on mine. I had a hell of a time trying to get the instrument cluster back in...the large wire group that plugs into the cluster kept getting in the way of the rubber lead. Looks great now, though!

Thanks for the detailed instructions, Sleddog! They were a great help when replacing the stock windscreen with a MRA Vario screen. The instructions from MRA said I had to take off the mirrors, which, of course, is totally unnecessary. They also neglected to mention the part about removing the fairing panel, which is required to access some of the screws.
Your instructions were much better than theirs! Much appreciated!
Yep, I second Hobbes on that one Sleddog, this instruction did help me big time!!!
