Hey guys

I have a few friends that own 03-06 Cbr 600rr's and they are running intergrated tails. I was on a 450 mile ride about a month ago with them and after 10 hours coming back into the sunset one stood out.

SDElectronics tail light. I could see his blinkers and brakes clear as day, where as my buddy whom has a yamaha fz6 had one from another company we couldn't see his lights at all. So I started doing some research into this SD Electronic tail light, only to come to find they only offer for the Honda 03-06 model.

I came across the website for the SD tail light http://www.sdescustoms.com/
and I emailed them.

This is what I've gotten back from SD.

Hey Colin,

I actually got some good new for you. I had some free time this week during lunch and researched the tail light you wanted and got/brought an OEM len and led board for your bike to prototype. I just need to find someone with a (2008 Suzuki Gsx 650F / 2007 Bandit 1250) around town to fit it on. I didn't know that the LEN actually unscrew and you can bolt the led board into it. Kinda cool.

So, if your still interested in it; I can have some led boards custom made in about a month or so and you can advertise them on the forum. I'm actually thinking about making 10pcs which will be a limited edition and they would be just as bright as the one you saw or maybe even brighter depending the leds I use. I hope this email does not go to your spam box. I will report back in about a couple of weeks depending on the progress. I think clear alternative is selling their for about $95.00 with S&H. I would probable price mine at $130.00 to $140.00 depending on how much the leds cost. Do you think that would be a price you and the Suzuki Gsx 650F owners would purchase one for ? Thank you for your time and I hope to hear back from you soon.

Here are some samples of his work.

http://www.600rr.net/vb/showthread.php?t=148133

So I would need a list of people whom would be interested in one of these and I would also need someone whom is in the San Diego area for a test fitting. Sadly I am in the midwest so I can't be of any assistance there.

I plan on sending the link to Fong so he can chime in on this and also post in this thread with updates and such.

I'm in Australia so couldn't help with the trial fitting, etc, but I would certainly be interested in the final product to fit to my '08 model. I would use it with the integrated indicators turned off and just he standard on or off brake light, but I love how bright they are.

Im in Australia also, but I would be really interested in getting a hold of one of these for my '10 model. i like the small pulse variant on the brake lights.

I dont think i'd use the integrated indicators, but brake light 100%

Looks very nice but integrated turn signals for me are just a way to increase my chance of getting rear ended/T-boned by a stupid cager.

Wrongturn
Count me in for a brake light only version
Alas I am on the wrong coast so I cannot help with the fitting easily (although if the weather is decent I am not opposed to a road trip, perhaps then his product would be greatly reduced in price  )

I believe he is only making one style with the integrated signals, which you wouldn't have to connect I believe.

I'm too far away for trials also but would be interested in the final version for my '09. I wouldn't be using the turn signal function either. Looks like an excellent product!
