Hi guys, I don't have a GSX650F (yet) but would really like some clarification on the seat height, which seems to be given variously as 770mm (30.3") and 790mm (31.1"). Suzuki's own site says the higher figure, but enough other sites make me query it. Cheers.

Don't worry about the figures ,you got to sit on the bike to see if it fits you. I have trouble getting both feet FLAT as the seat it wide .I've sat on super sports bikes with a high seat height on paper ,but flat foot it easy as the seat in narrow ,legs closer together.
The seat can be shaved down at any upholstery place very cheap and easy if your smaller.

I have read somewhere where the seat height actually measures over 31" (some magazine article that I can't remember where). Since the seat is wide and the bike is heavy, it is difficult to maneuver at low speed for those with inseams less than 30 ".
Of course, there are shorter riders who like the GSX650F so much, they overlook the seat height.
Like others have said, one quick "sit" will give you your answer.

The Bandit 650 can change between 790 and 770mm because of the adjustable seat, the 650F is 770mm. Probably a wrong copy/paste from the Bandit 650 then!

Hi Beiciwir, I think it is actually 790mm, I remember looking for a lower seat height and thought it was 770mm but when sitting on it compared to a honda with 776mm seat height, the 650f was definately much higher. But as the others say here, best to have a sit on it and see if it suits you. Also would recommend to get to push the bike around the showroom if you can to make sure you are happy with the weight of the 650f.

Officially, 770mm (30.3"). All the magazines that measure come out to about 31.5 or 31.3. It feels higher than 770mm. I think because of the width of the seat. Coming from a Ninja 500 which has a seat height of 30.5" it felt much taller.
