The yamaha is a nice looking bike ,but the reviews are mixed some good ,some just ok.
The yamaha is more aimed at the beginner and as a steeping stone to a R6 ......the 650F is aimed as an all rounder -sports tourer for all riders. For a newbie pick either one ,or any rider that wanted an all rounder to keep ,then the 650F. Remember the 650F was MCN sports tourer of the year last year.
