I’m looking at a StarCom1 Digital Intercom. Just wondered if anyone out there has any experience with this unit, be it good or bad? I mainly want to use it for my radar detector, phone & GPS navigator. Not too interested in music inputs as I can do without that distraction while riding. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
Hi ,bandit sa here, I have the starcom digital system on the bandit and have had it for several years and it is by far the the best sat-nav unit i have tried but i only use it as an electronic map ond do not have any use for the the phone or other facilities and remember that you should always take a good map on trips and know how to read .them

I've got one on my 2008 Yamaha FJR 1300...works great except for one thing...the music inputs. I have a Zumo 665 attached, and it degrades the music quality. It's not bad, not a deal breaker, but definitely degrades the quality. Overall, works as advertised and is probably the best unit out there for comms.
So an update.... had the Starcom1 Digital unit for a while now and I am very happy with it. As an interface with my Escort Passport Radar Detector, it's outstanding.
