My 650F just clicked over 20,000 miles on the way home from work.I rewarded her with a new Michelin Power Road 2CT.A couple of observations;I still average 48mpg commuting. This bike is more comfortable on twistys than mile after mile of riding the "slab".Other than the recall,no unexpected maintenace.I'm still on the original chain and sprockets and my service tech said I should be fine until the next tire change.I would like a Ninja 1000 or maybe a B-King some day. This was a great purchase and the best bike I have ever owned.

Would have to agree with you. At over 22000 miles she still runs very well...original chain and sprockets here too! She also got treated with new sneakers and a Scorp exhaust. I think I'll keep her as my son wants mine as a gift.

Oh and I like the new kawai 1000 also...I could park that in my garage any day ....IF the wife would let me.

20000 miles = 32186 km.

I'm still loving it after 42000km
My wife has a brand new GSF650SA, but mine is a lot smoother and has a better drive at speeds above 100km/h.

Great bike but I only have 6K miles on mine. Good commuter. It could be worse though, here's an ad for a GSX1000

I've got around 21,000 miles on mine and couldn't be happier with her. I just went on a 1300 mile ride last week and gained new appreciation for this bike's comfort and smoothness hour after hour of riding. From the twisties and slow easy riding of the Blue Ridge Parkway to the long high gear/speed interstate riding; comfort all the way. I stay on top of my oil changes and all regular maintainance and keep her clean and she takes care of me. KEEP THAT CHAIN LUBED every other time I ride; and smooth riding mile after mile. Use your back passenger pegs too switch up riding positions every now and then and soreness and fatigue are little to non existant on long runs or putting around the mountains.

You should probably calm down a bit before attempting to take any more photos...

Hey high mileage guys, hows the shifting after all that riding time? I was told that the clunky/notchy shifting would smooth out after a few thousand miles but I'm up to 4500 or so and it clunks bad dropping into first gear from neutral. Also the 1-2 shift is still hit or miss, sometimes it's smooth as butter and other times it will drop into neutral no matter how hard I upshift. 2-3 is a little rough, but 3-4-5-6 is all silky smooth now (clutch or no clutch). So it has improved, but those first few gears are still a b!tch. Maybe it's time for an oil change, it has full synthetic in there right now and it's starting to get dark/dirty anyhow.

Hot stuff my 650 @ 27K miles.

And now dealers want the used 650 of course we take a beating and
the dealer goes to the bank.

I pick up the oil filter at my local dealer, leaving one of the sales guys asks me direct
U want to sell or trade, he had seen all the goodies, he not too forcfull, any way IT MINE.

for me will keep, I enjoyed the 15 hour TBO on my 650 as posted in Gallery "under the hood er Tank"
Yep heavy cleaning both side panels ff oil change spark plug change, a lot of sub frame panting.

Inspection, chain lube tires pressure check and detailing. Relaxin now at starbucks admiring my 650 parked outside

But the trend now for now is mid size or 600cc class, but the 650 has one good thing runs on regular gas.

PS if the service depatment did all what i did parts and labor easy $1200 bucks. Oh if Orange County Chopper or Paul jr Designs do then
10000 dollars, yet those guys would do what i did.

I dunno if I'd let Paul Jr. touch my bike. He has a good design sensibility but not sure about everything else.
