IMO, you might be better off to stash it somewhere, in case you get an overzealous police trying to ping you for noise. Slip it on before inspection, done. Good luck with the sale! (Just had on done for insurance, $1200!)

Anyway I'm really not worried about it, at the end of the day if the police request it I can put the noise reducer inside the pipe. And on top of that, have you guys ever thought about the thousands/millions of harleys on the road, that are about ten times louder than my yoshi? hmm, no..
