hey fellow riders

i recently lost the sunglasses i wore under my helmet. they were a cheap pair i had laying around and just happend to fit in my helmet after i put it on. im looking into motorcycle specific sunglasses or goggles to wear inside my helmet. i dont like relying on dark visors as i ride at night sometimes and dont feel like changing the visor. id like to get a pair that have dark lenses and really dim the sun, if theyre polarized or reflective thats great but i want them to actually shade my eyes so i dont have to with my hand. know what i mean?

thanks in advance

I would suggest a HJC, or Zox helmet or similar that have the sun shades built in. In the sun you just drop them down down, at night lift them up. I have them and now would never go back, no switching visors and carrying a spare. Changes in the flick of a finger!

If you look for military aviator sunglasses they were designed to be put on and taken off with the helmet on. Simply, the legs are straight, not hooked as with regular glasses where they go behind the ear.

Check the Oakley "monster dog". They're confortable and fit well. I take with me all the time...

If you notice with the new modern sunnys ,they have bigger arms to block the sun coming threw the side of the glasses.
This also blocks your peripheral vision.
While your sitting down now ....look straight ahead and see how far behind you or the side you can see ....now put your sunnys on and see how much peripheral vision you loose ....its ALOT .
Get sunnys with skinny arms or use a darker visor.

An older motorcyle friend ..has dark stickey tape just covering the top 1 inch of his visor ,its shades the sun from his eyes as he wears reading glasses ,it works the same way as the fold down sun shade in your car.
Try it ...

I do this ^^^^^^ but use 100 mph tape and wear these. Cheap, give good FOV and work for me.

I use the Liberty Sport Choppers. Mine are perscription though. The sides are removable so I can ride with my shield down and lose less side visions, or with them on and the shield up on hot days. http://www.libertysport.com/products_de ... decolo=223

I wear GATEWAY safety glasses that we sell in our store for about $3!!! They come in many tints/mirror and clear. They are made of polycarbonate and are virtually indestructable. One series has flat legs that slide in your helmet very easily and are comfortable.Harley shops sell them for 8-10USD!! I know...I'm cheap.
