After 5 or 6 miles my bike will start surging. I thought it might be bad gas, so i drained the tank and went to a different gas station for fuel. Still doing it. She's an 08 with 1600 miles. Any suggestions?

Is that something the X-Tre sorts out?

it's the engine sort of losing power for a very brief moment, then "surging" back to life. or opposite, surging ahead of where it was once comfortable cruising at with no throttle adjustment, then sliding back down into it's normal cruising speed. then back up, or whatever.

mine does it in 2nd at 25. I just shift 3rd, and have no problems. I imagine when it finds it's way to a dyno, I'll get it tuned out, along with some idle adjustment, and then WOT air/fuel honing

It happens at all speeds and when I stop the idle is erratic. The best way to describe it is like you were riding in bad storm with a heavy wind coming at you, but not steady. Or riding on a paved road with lots of little dips in it. Thats what i thought it was at first, (suspension) but the road in front of work was repaved last week (super smooth) and thats where it usually starts - the last 1/2 mile I drive to the shop (I work at a Harley dealer so I'm a traitor).

I'd take it to a suzuki dealer and try and coerce them to sync the throttle bodies, and zero the TPS on your bike. that's likely what's wrong.

If there is troubble with the fillercap, or those tubes, which you can see under the engine, no air can get into the tank, and creates a vaccum.
It's woth trying to run the bike whith the fillercap not completely closed, or just open and close the cap @ 7 miles to see what happens

Looks like it may be the crank sensor. The dealer called Suzuki several times and they ordered new one. Since I work at a H-D dealership, I knew about the the emissions warranty-5 years or 18000 miles. $600 repair is gonna be free!
